Our Certifications:
ISO 9001:2015 View Certificate
UL
CSA
ROHS Compliant
IPC WHMA-620 A/B Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
IPC J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

Quality - We manufacture, inspect and test all of our products to meet or exceed all IPC WHMA-A-620 Quality Requirements. RAM has an ongoing IPC/WHMA-A-620 manufacturing and Quality control employee training program. IPC/WHMA-A-620 describes acceptability criteria for producing crimped, mechanically secured, or soldered interconnections and the associated lacing/restraining criteria associated with the Acceptable Quality Requirements for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
We can build to meet all criteria of any of the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Classes of Products.
Class 1 – General Electronic Products
Class 2 – Dedicated Service Electronic Products
Class 3 – High Performance Electronic Products
In addition to the IPC-WHMA A-620 standards and IPC J-STD-001 Requirements we normally use, any additional customer specific quality requirements are also always adhered to. Meeting your quality goals is our only objective.
Test, Inspection, and Measurement:
Control of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment is essential to maintain standards of conformity.
RAM ensures all inspection, measuring, and test equipment used within RAM Electronic Industries, Inc., is calibrated and maintained at the prescribed intervals to a known state of accuracy traceable to the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Documentation and Procedures:
All of our jobs use a procedural document package that remains with it until completion. The package consists of explanations and photographs of how materials are to be cut, assembled and tested. Any product Revisions result in complete package revision to be sure that all processes and procedures meet the new revision level for the job. Staff members receive constant training, and they have opportunities to take work-related classes.

- Our quality department is familiar with using visual aids such as stereo optical and digital microscopes for product inspection.
- RAM has incoming, outgoing and in process inspection and test procedures which work together to ensure quality in our assemblies.
- RAM can make assembly and design recommendations to improve product Quality, Cost or Deliverability, such as process improvement, tooling improvements as well as Component cross referencing and alternative sourcing options.
- RAM uses "smart" harness boards with Cirris Test units attached that monitor and detect each connection. If a wire is plugged wrong or open, the unit would alert the assembler to the error. Using live testing during the harness fabrication process has been helpful in building quality wire harnesses in less time at a lower cost.
- RAM is familiar with UL Classification Guidelines and Rules. We are experienced in proper use and selection of UL Recognized materials and Components as well as achieving or maintaining Functional Safety Listings.
- CSA Group is a global provider of certification marks to sell your product in North America as well as Internationally. They are also a leading provider of the necessary energy efficiency marks for North America. RAM can assist you in understanding and obtaining CSA marks for your products.
- RoHS Compliance - We offer RoHS/ REACH / WEEE compliant products/services for our many customers with these requirements.
Test
- RAM has been a leader in Cable & Harness Testing for over 30 yrs, testing a variety of cables from digital cables, RF cables, to network cables. For use in medical, communication, and digital industry.
- Pass/Fail Cable & Harness Test Systems for assembly, prototyping, production, and QC of standard or custom single or multiconductor cables.
- Basic electrical test such as continuity, resistance, dielectric breakdown, insulation resistance, miswires.
- Hi Pot Testing of Cables and Assemblies
- All Test data is recorded and monitored in a networked computer database system and archived records are kept.
